Click Link to Donate to Cyclone Relief in Burma
A colleague from work used to teach at the International School in Burma a few years ago. She has been able to make some contact with folks still there although the Internet is mostly down so messages are being relayed around the world. I asked her about how to make a donation and she immediately suggested World Vision. Apparently they've been working in Burma for years so already have people on the ground and in communities.
The link to the World Vision site to donate is:

It has been bought to my attention that there are another aspects to also consider, beyond the devastation and over 100,000 lives lost, such as this is also being a prime time for the Burmese government to make dissidents 'disappear'. I am astonished that the cyclone is already relegated to the 3rd for 4th news item on the BBC World News. I know its illegal for them to have reporters in the country but it is possible to continue to gather newsworthy facts and updates to keep this disaster and this tyrannical government at the forefront of peoples' minds.
